Description
I had an ankle problem which resulted in surgery. After the operation, I never fully recovered. In 2023, I was cleared to return to work, but was given the same tasks that caused my injury. They tried to give me other passive tasks, but they were only 2 tasks that I had to do all day, standing and wearing safety shoes. I had to take sick leave again. Until today, the insurance company has been paying my benefits. In April 2024, I received a resolution denying my permanent disability. I responded within the 30 business days as stated in the document. I would like to know what happens next. Will I continue to receive benefits from the insurance company (Fremap)? Will the ICAM take a long time to respond, as usual? Do I have to request medical clearance and return to work? I would like to reach an agreement with the company and end my employment with them (Amazon).
Legal issue to be resolved by the lawyerI have been denied permanent disability, I had ankle surgery in 2022, and I still have discomfort. I work in logistics at Amazon. My job involves standing for 8 hours and lifting heavy objects. I have filed a complaint through social security. They have responded that they will stop providing me with benefits due to a resolution from social security.
