Waldshut-Tiengen is located on the picturesque Upper Rhine in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg, directly on the Swiss border. With a population of around , it is the largest city in the district of Waldshut and a central hub for the surrounding communities.

We are currently seeking a full-time School Social Worker (m/f/d) to join our Children and Youth Department as soon as possible. This position is temporary and will cover the duration of the current employee's parental leave at the Realschule Tiengen, where 750 students are taught by 57 teachers.

The focus of our work at this school is on social and career-oriented education. Our goal is for students to experience the school as a safe and supportive environment where they can learn effectively. Our teaching staff is continuously trained in conflict resolution and, in collaboration with the school social worker, implements the components of "working well," "living together," "team development in the classroom," and anti-bullying intervention as part of a social curriculum. This includes a weekly social hour for students in grades 5 to 10 with their class teacher. The school social worker collaborates with the respective class teacher in a tandem approach.
