    JOB TITLE: Educational Facilitator - MTSS Coordinator

    REPORTS TO: School Director or Designee

    THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)

    Reporting to the School Directors, the MTSS Coordinator is responsible for the overseeing and implementing the SST process, tracking data and creating and implementing a variety of intervention strategies for struggling learners.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

    • Conduct oneself in a professional manner as the point of contact for EFs and families regarding interventions and the SST process.
    • Oversee Intervention Coordinator Support employee and collaborate with investment team heads as needed.
    • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
    • Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development activities provided by the school and self-selected professional growth activities.
    • Maintain data, attend meetings, and perform any tasks needed for the purposes of WASC, LCAP, charter renewal, CA Dashboard, MTSS, PIR, EL, SST, state testing etc.
    • Adhere to California school law, State Board of Education rules and regulations, Board of Education policies and regulations, and school regulations and procedures.
    • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate all SST meetings and processes.
    • Monitor and/or update the SST processes, forms and policies.
    • Provide guidance to Educational Facilitators (e.g., in regards to baseline assessments, interventions, general role/responsibilities for both the EF and parent) to ensure the SST process runs efficiently.
    • Work with the SPED assessment team to determine when SSTs are warranted versus when a request should go directly to assessments.
    • Maintain learner SST folders by year and make sure all necessary documents are maintained and organized, adding all necessary team members.
    • Ensure interventions are being completed and follow up with EFs regularly to ensure documentation/quantitative data is being collected to ensure the validity of interventions.
    • Collaborate with school psychologists, counselors, education specialists or any other necessary SPED team members prior to the SST meeting to discuss the proposed plan for SST based off of initial data that has been submitted.
    • Maintain SST spreadsheets/records with detailed notes by learner.
    • Respond to all SST emails and all related concerns.
    • Coordinate with the Student Support team for assessments as needed.
    • Provide ongoing training for EFs on the SST process.
    • Collaborate with the student support team on OG tutoring and other supports.
    • Train EFs on the Response to Intervention (RTI) triangle perspective.
    • Oversee, develop, and implement the EF intervention website/platforms for learners and families.
    • Closely track school data and present to all stakeholders as necessary
    • Develop a system to help everyone track and understand goals, standards and progress toward them.
    • Collect data to be utilized for various reporting entities.
    • Provide intervention training materials to staff as needed.
    • Conduct ongoing troubleshooting for Exact Path.
    • Coordinate with investment teams as needed to provide and support intervention strategies, ensure intervention subscriptions are available and promote intervention curriculum.
    • Complete other duties as defined by the Director(s) of the program or other school leaders.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer)
    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
    • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
    • When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites.
    • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
    • May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind.
    • Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions.
    • Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations.
    • Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets.
    • Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software.
    • Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups.
    • Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Valid California Teaching Credential
    • ELL Authorization - CLAD, BCLAD desirable
    • Demonstrate proficiency in technology skills with the ability to learn and use online platforms, systems and software to support learning and record keeping.
    • Previous experience with homeschool or independent study programs preferred.
    • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrate standards of moral character and maintain a professional demeanor to serve as an effective role model for learners.
    • Exercise mature judgment in working with confidential information.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
    • Work independently, be a self starter, problem solve and multi-task.
    • Establish and maintain friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships with all learners, families and staff.
    • Exhibit an enthusiasm for learning and the belief that each learner can and will succeed.
    • Understand, recommend and support a variety of learning styles, philosophies, and approaches to better support the homeschool endeavor.
    • Ability to align and assign curriculum and activities with standards and to adopt grading practices that can be used authentically assess a learner's progress.
    • Willingness to be involved on teams and committees to support the school's mission and vision.
    • Belief in the iLEAD California mission and a willingness to work as a vital part of the iLEAD team to ensure excellence in learning opportunities and contribute to the iLEAD California community as a whole.
