Job Description:
Veterinarian in Lake Elsinore, CA

Duties:


  • Issue health certificates and perform wellness appointments for privatelyowned animals.
  • Advise owners on proper immunizations and disease prevention.
  • Examine animals, treat diseases and injuries, and conduct surgeries.
  • Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, and other body fluids for examination and diagnostic testing.
  • Perform and interpret laboratory findings.
  • Maintain legal medical health records.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Animal Health Assistants in veterinary nursing skills, medical standards, and animal care.

Requirements:


Conditions of Employment:


  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • A oneyear probationary period may be required.
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events, as needed by management.
  • Must not have an aversion to animals, blood, bodily fluids, animal tissues, strong odors, needles, or sharp instruments.
  • Successful completion of a Physical Examination, including all mandated immunizations.
  • Ability to obtain/renew United States Department of Agriculture/Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS) accreditation within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Federal agencies may request information regarding COVID19 vaccination status for workplace safety protocols.
