A day in the life of the

Assisting Director:

_**- Develops, plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates, budgets, monitors and evaluates policies, procedures and operations of the agency to insure the accomplishment of the department's mission.

Ensures the provision of appropriate services in the area of Adult Services as determined by the agency mission.
Maintains an active internal communication flow with all management staff to insure comprehensive, coordinated operations and individual services.
Assures that Adult Services meets the needs of all service recipients in accord with best practice.
Prepares all County, State and Federal reports pertaining to Adult Services.
Supervises the staff of Adult Services.
Demonstrates fiscal accountability regarding the management and implementation of the department's budget.

_ The tools you need:
_

Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field.
Knowledgeable of DPW 6400 regulations and ODP requirements
Two years' supervisory experience working directly with adults with intellectual disabilities.
Valid driver's license, own vehicle and insurance.
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
Patience and flexibility is a must.
Proficient in MS Office and/or other Windows based programs.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

40+ with oncall and weekend flexibility
