National Grid is hiring six Lead Operations Customer Project Managers in our NE Elec Operations organization. These hybrid positions (some days in field, and in office) will be located in our Brockton, Hopedale, N. Andover, Northampton or Worcester offices.

Job Purpose:


We are seeking 6 dedicated individuals as company representatives across MA to own a selective portfolio of high visibility MA electric customer connection jobs requiring end-to-end management and a laser focus on the operational activities within the connection process.

In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for the effective execution and completion of the portfolio of these critical Customer connection jobs as well as serve as the operation liaison to the Customer Connections team.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Own and remain accountable for the operational progress of projects within your portfolio. Stay vigilant of job statuses and proactively drive the management of project timelines, requirements, handoffs, and escalations to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to foster environment where key project updates are communicated effectively, and customer satisfaction is always prioritized.
  • Collaborate closely with all internal stakeholders to facilitate timely job progression at every stage of the project by proactively managing interdepartmental handoffs. Ensure all stakeholders are aware of project status and any changes that may impact the project timeline or requirements.
  • Attend key inperson customer site visits across designated jurisdiction as a National Grid representative. Represent the company professionally and ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Communicate field updates to end customers and address operationalbased customer inquiries. Coordinate daytoday work with end customer when their actions or input are needed to progress the project.
  • Champion the use of STORMS and future work management digital tools with Operations users. Promote process improvement initiatives and the use of digital tools to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
**Supervisory/Interpersonal

  • Experience Required**:
  • Demonstrate exceptional personal initiative, integrity, and effective interpersonal skills while fostering positive and collaborative relationships with company personnel, contractors, and end customers.
  • Utility experience and knowledge of connection process strongly desired

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, project management or utility construction.
  • Working knowledge and experience in project management principles, tools, and techniques.

More Information:


Salary:
$132,000 - $155,000
