- Raw material qualification and cost reduction
- Production process improvements to enhance plant efficiency
- Production process improvements to improve product quality
- Support the establishment of new product manufacturing capability
- Lead projects related to the qualification of alternate or lower cost raw material suppliers.
- Contribute to help define project and business strategy and approach.
- Develop a deep working knowledge of Hanwha Azdel's manufacturing process, products, and costs associated so as to effectively support the Hanwha Azdel business in efficiency improvements.
- Engage in a timely manner on projects/situations where Product & Process Engineering expertise is needed.
- Contribute to help clarify problem to be solved and identifies solutions to address.
- B.S. in a field related to polymer engineering. material science engineering or chemical engineering
- 2‐3 years industrial experience
- M.S. or industrial experience
- Experience with wet‐lay production methods

General Job Description:
We are seeking a Product & Process Development Engineer who will be responsible for leading activities associated with:
The Product & Process Development Engineer must be able to act as a goal‐focused individual who is proactive in problem solving and demonstrate the leadership and communication skills needed to help a diversified global business achieve its goals. The engineer will work with Hanwha Azdel's suppliers, customers, product developers, laboratory technicians, as well as the manufacturing, quality and commercial teams. The engineer will lead projects as needed and work and communicate effectively with the cross‐functional team. This position will require a degree in a field related to polymer engineering, material science engineering or chemical engineering.

1) Support raw material cost reduction and risk reduction programs.
2) Support production process improvements to enhance plant efficiency, improve product quality, and establish new product manufacturing capability.
