    BWXT's Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking aNDT Development Engineerfor its Lynchburg, VA location

    Investigates new technologies and methods of manufacture/inspections for potential application to production processes.
    Proposes new work to expand inspection/process capabilities.
    Works with customers to investigate and acquire new technologies which can expand current inspections.
    Plans and manages multiple development projects by preparing instructions, drawings, and routing documents.
    Authors reports documenting process/material testing and well-engineered solutions to problems.
    A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering discipline is required. Internal candidates with a Physics Degree who are already on the Engineering Ladder are also eligible.
    Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, interacting with both hourly and salary personnel.
    Must possess ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a part of a collaborative team.
    Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities is required.
    A minimum of one (1) year of experience in NDT systems.
    Programming experience (C++, LabView, Python, .NET, Visual Basic, etc.).
    Electronic/electrical experience and instrumentation troubleshooting knowledge.
    Mechanical design and/or 3D printing experience.
    CAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent experience.
