The Role


As a Research and Development Lab Technician at EnergyX, you will be an integral part of our research and development team, contributing to the synthesis and analysis of organic and inorganic compounds crucial to our innovative projects.


Key Responsibilities

Synthesis and Analysis:

  • Assist in synthesizing organic and inorganic compounds according to the specifications provided by EnergyX.
  • Convert raw data and laboratory sample analyses into comprehensive internal and external reports, contributing to the understanding and progress of our projects.

Safety Compliance:

  • Prioritize safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and permit-specific requirements.
  • Adhere to proper and consistent usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure personal safety and minimize risks.

Experimentation Management:

  • Execute experimental plans under the guidance of senior researchers.
  • Manage and optimize the testing schedule to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Set up equipment required for experimentation and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Diligently record and analyze experimental data, contributing to the generation of meaningful insights.
  • Assist the science team in daily solution preparation and sampling, demonstrating attention to detail and precision in laboratory procedures.

General Laboratory Duties:

  • Collaborate effectively within the operations team to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of materials, ensuring adequate supplies for ongoing research activities.
  • Facilitate procurement processes by ordering equipment, chemicals, and other necessary supplies in a timely manner.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the laboratory environment to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Physical Demands:


  • The physical demands of this job are consistent with working in a wetlaboratory setting. Requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 4 years experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or similar
    OR recent Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with no experience required.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proven project execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interpret and communicate information to share within and across teams
  • Time management skills
  • Innovative thinking mindset with great problemsolving skills
  • Gogetter attitude

Benefits:


  • Salary Range: $52,000 to $60,000 Based on Experience
