Manufacturing Production Line Leader (Supervisor)

at

Mary Ann's Baking Company


We're looking for leaders, who have a good handle on effective leadership with small to medium sized teams in a production environment, to mentor, develop and oversee our teams of Operators and Associates, to meet our daily production goals.

As a leader, you will focus on providing the best support to your team, to include equipment, training, assignments, rotations, problem solving, solution development, while effectively understanding your teams needs and communicating individual and organization goals and expectations.


In this role, you may find yourself supporting one or more production lines, collaborating with a team of leaders, operators and associates.


Some of the responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain a clean, safe and injuryfree work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all team members
  • Champion employee engagement, safety and morale
  • Confirm all equipment is functioning properly and can be safely and efficiently operated
  • Identify training needs and areas for employee development
  • Ensure employees are following GMPs, ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards
  • Supervise and coordinate production operations for team members, including scheduling, time management, performance evaluations, hiring, and discipline
  • Keep up to date and maintain a working knowledge of relevant SOPs and processes
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods
  • Perform production area audits and conduct regular shift meetings to comply with GMPs, food safety, audits, and safety regulations
  • Supervise efficient operation of equipment including the inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions; assist in troubleshooting any machine slowdowns or other problems

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 or 4Year degree from an accredited University preferred.
  • Must be open to swing shifts (4pm2am)
  • Able to work a 4 day/10hour schedule
  • Must have 3+ years of experience leading people and supervising processes in a manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Clear effective communication skills
  • Experience with KPIs and production metrics
  • Understanding of SQF, HACCP, OSHA, and other similar food quality/safety systems
  • 5s experience preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizan experience preferred
