Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain relationships with all companion animals, birds and live food suppliers.
  • Evaluate production abilities for all suppliers and communicate with segment manager on availability.
  • Evaluate and insure supplier compliance with regulating agencies.
  • Submit performance reviews of each vendor.
  • Communicate with different departments including sales, operations and suppliers to forecast demand and minimize shortages.
  • Occasional travel to supplier facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Knowledge of and passion for animals Huge Plus
  • Compassion for our animals, customers, and employees
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 12 years of related experience
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including outlook
