- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving generative AI space, with a specific focus on applications and use cases relevant to the Life Sciences industry, including pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
- Become an expert in the wide range of use cases where generative AI can drive business transformation for life sciences companies, and help customers contextualize the benefits of our full-stack approach within their industry.
- Identify and qualify inbound leads from major Life Sciences companies, guiding them through the evaluation process and providing tailored solutions to meet their specific needs in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.
- Proactively generate a robust pipeline of potential customers from Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) accounts through value-driven outbound strategies, targeting key decision-makers within Life Sciences organizations.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to stakeholders, helping prospects articulate and quantify the business case for investment in generative AI solutions for the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.
- Guide prospects through proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot projects, establishing clear success criteria and involving key stakeholders early on to reach a consensus for purchase.
- Lead champions within customer organizations through internal budgeting, legal, security, and procurement processes, recognizing the evangelical nature of the sale where the solution may not have an existing line item.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share successful strategies, identify areas for improvement, and refine Writer's approach to serving strategic customers in the Life Sciences sector.
- 8+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS closing role, with a focus on selling to major Life Sciences companies in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors. Additional experience selling to CIO or AI/innovation leaders is a plus.
- Thrive in a scrappy, fast-paced environment - the Life Sciences industry is dynamic and requires adaptability to cater to the unique needs of pharmaceutical and medical technology companies.
- A deep understanding of the legal, regulatory, and competitive dynamics affecting the Life Sciences industry, including compliance requirements, FDA regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas in the Life Sciences sector.
- Experience assisting prospects in building a compelling business case to secure executive sponsorship within the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
- Familiarity with value-based selling, while also possessing an in-depth understanding of the product and its applications in the Life Sciences sector.
- Experience collaborating with legal, security, and procurement teams to successfully close deals in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate the value proposition of generative AI solutions to Life Sciences companies.
- Well-defined sales process and ability to make sales repeatable for yourself in the Life Sciences industry.
