Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Builder / Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at our location in Zwickau.

The vocational school is also located in Zwickau, while the training workshop is in Hoyerswerda. We are happy to provide accommodation for you.

During your apprenticeship, you can expect to:

  • Work with your team on construction sites, maintaining and repairing our railway tracks
  • Inspect and replace damaged parts of the tracks and switches
  • Renew the stones and gravel layers under the tracks, using modern machinery to make the work easier
  • Ensure precise measurements to prevent train vibrations
  • Become an integral part of the team and ensure the safe and smooth transportation of passengers to their destinations

Your profile should include:

  • Successful completion of (or soon to be completed) secondary education
  • A preference for outdoor work rather than office work
  • Dedication and reliability
  • Enjoyment of teamwork and a willingness to help out
  • Flexibility to work at different locations, times, and even night shifts
