Description

Sunnova Energy is seeking a Manager of Insurance to manage the Company's insurance policies, claims, and general compliance with insurance requirements.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Risk, the Manager of Insurance will play a key role in mitigating financial risks and protecting the company's assets and interests

Responsibilities:

Insurance Policy Management:
Evaluate, select, and manage insurance policies to adequately cover the organization's assets, liabilities, and operations, including property insurance, casualty insurance, liability insurance, and other relevant policies.
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurance providers to optimize coverage and costeffectiveness.
Insurance Claims Management:
Manage the endtoend process of insurance claims, including filing claims, coordinating with insurance adjusters, providing necessary documentation, and negotiating settlements.
Ensure timely and accurate resolution of insurance claims, minimizing financial losses and disruptions to business operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in insurance.
Strong understanding of insurance products and risk management principles.
Demonstrated experience in managing insurance portfolios.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk exposures, evaluate insurance coverage, and analyze insurance claims.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the energy industry or related sectors.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
