Arizona Baptist Children's Services & Family Ministries (ABCS) is a faith-based nonprofit that includes seven ministries with one mission
:to provide hope and care to hurting children and families through Christ-centered ministries.

To learn more about ABCS' impact on the community please visit our website at You can join our mission by serving as a part-time Administrative Support Specialist.


The Administrative Support Specialist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, welcoming visitors and assisting as needed, this will include assisting clients within all seven of the ministries of ABCS, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, providing administrative support services for ABCS senior staff and program directors, assisting and directing volunteers as needed and collaborating on various ministry projects.

Characteristics sought include the ability to work independently and as part of team and mature moral values.

Applicants must have effective written and oral communication skills, the ability to solve problems by thinking critically and creatively, interpersonal skills to build relationships with co-workers, clients, volunteers and supporters, good planning and organization skills, flexibility and teamwork skills.

Applicants should have the ability to work on databases, coordinate calendars, compose and edit documents using Microsoft Word, operate office equipment and comply with confidentiality agreements.

Requirements:


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and have a clear criminal history background check
  • Must be in agreement with the _Statement of Faith_, _Mission Statement_, _Core Values_ and _Guiding Principles_ of ABCS
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Must possess strong skills in written and oral communication
  • Ability to process new client paperwork and ensure necessary information is available to counselors
  • Must have a thorough understanding of operating office equipment such as print/scan/fax/copy machine and postage meter and is able to assist other associates with these functions
  • Requires organizational and multitasking skills to manage a busy lobby with a diverse group of clients and maintain timelines on both routine and more challenging tasks
  • Must have interpersonal abilities to build relationships with and maintain effective communication with coworkers, support staff and ministry partners
  • Ability to develop and maintain a system to keep adequate inventory of office supplies to ensure staff have the supplies needed to carry out their job responsibilities
  • Provides administrative support services for ABCS senior staff and program directors as assigned
