Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Two (2) years' experience in HIV ambulatory care setting or public health experience
New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Knowledge of culture, language and concerns specific to the community being served - African/American, African/Caribbean, people with HIV and their family members.
Bilingual - English / Spanish or English / Creole
Ability to draw blood on infants using the heel stick method
Ability to navigate and document in the electronic medical record (EMR), and use the EMR to order laboratory work/procedure, create medication refills, and communicate with patients.
Ability to provide culturally competent health education and nursing care for HIV positive and high-risk patients of all ages, cultures, nationalities, races, and gender identities.

The Staff Nurse in the PATH Center provides nursing care to HIV-positive people of all ages, HIV-at risk people of all ages, HIV exposed infants, well children, and other infectious disease patients of all ages.

Coordinates clinical services and provides patient and family education, and shapes the clinical program's ongoing development.
