    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
    • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
    • Assist with patient assessments and document findings
    • Administer medication and assist with tube feedings as directed by healthcare professionals
    • Provide patient service and support, ensuring their comfort and safety
    • Assist with catheter care and other basic medical procedures
    • Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff
    • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment

    Experience:

    • Previous experience working as a nursing assistant or in a similar role is preferred
    • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
    • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in using healthcare systems and electronic medical records
    • Knowledge of basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and administering medication
    • Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds
    • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team
    • Understanding of patient privacy laws and regulations
