A Childcare Administrative Assistance typically has a multifaceted role that combines both administrative duties and direct interaction with parents, children, and staff.


Responsibilities:

Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the childcare center, including managing files, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.

Communication: Serve as a point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries and concerns related to their children's care and education.

Program Coordination: Assist in coordinating childcare programs and activities, ensuring they align with educational standards and safety regulations.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur.

Compliance: Ensure the childcare center complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding child safety and care.

Financial Management: Oversee billing, payments, budgeting and bookkeeping related to childcare services.

Staff Support: Provide support to childcare staff, including organizing schedules and assisting with training.


Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is often preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within a childcare or educational setting.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, children, and parents.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with office software, QuickBooks, and administrative technology.


Salary and Employment Type:

- $22 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience

  • Full time 40 hours a week Monday Friday.

$ $24.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
