LOCATION
Washington DC on-site with potential for a hybrid (on-site and remote) schedule

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline is required.
Six (6) years' work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. An associate's degree plus 4 years' work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Active Public Trust clearance

Primary Responsibilities

Support the "cradle to grave" budget cycle in the following areas:
Budget formulation;
Spend plan creation; and
Execution of current fiscal year budgets.
Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
Analyze budgeting and accounting reports.
Assist in recording obligations into the Financial System within two (2) days of obligation.
Work across the organization to correct known obligation errors; provide supporting documents to questions about obligations; and report on obligation timeliness, new obligations values versus contract closeout deobligations, backlogs, and error rates.
