    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Machinist is responsible for set-up, programming and machining of precision parts from supplied prints using both their knowledge of industry standards and standard work instructions. The Machinist will use precision measuring instruments to produce high-quality parts that meet print specifications.

    Top 5 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Machine and Inspect parts per print

    2. Continuous process improvement

    3. Timely alert management to issues

    4. Programming & Set-up

    5. Help and Teach others

    The Top 5 above include, but are not limited to the following sub-tasks:

    · Keep work area clean and organized

    · Perform routine maintenance on machinery

    · Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments

    SKILLS / ABILITIES:

    · Open and honest communicator

    · Able to lead teams in the execution of work internally and with customers

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Previous experience in Programming, Setup and Running one or more of the following:
      • CNC Mill
      • CNC Boring Mill
      • CNC Lathe
    • Familiarity machine tools and equipment
    • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
    • Strong attention to detail
