Services focus on HEALTH, HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, offering a continuum of support to move households from crisis to long-term health and stability.

A New Leaf continues to grow to respond to needs in our community by developing comprehensive, relevant and effective services for vulnerable and underserved families, children, and adults.

A New Leaf's Autumn House is a 24-hour crisis program for victims of domestic violence.

Autumn House serves single individuals as well as adults with children who require temporary shelter and support as a result of violence in the home.

Services include Crisis hotline, Information, referral assistance and resources, Basic needs assistance, Domestic violence education and safety planning, Empowerment through self-awareness classes, Case Management, Goal setting, and Advocacy and GED preparation, Employment Assistance, Financial Literacy.


Hourly Pay Rate:
$21.00


Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 12:30pm-8:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:


  • High School or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Bilingual verbally in Spanish, preferred.

Experience:


  • Two+ years' experience working with children.
  • Prior experience with family and child case management, preferred.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with trauma informed practices required
  • Prior experience working with Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, and/or homeless populations required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Role model appropriate behaviors to clients and children in the shelter, at all times, utilizing trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise monthly activity calendar for the Children's Center. Attend and participate in outings and activities off site as appropriate.
  • Support families to enroll their children in school, support families with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and assist with referrals to childcare.
  • Facilitate groups and workshops for clients and children in shelter as well as externally as trained and appropriate to role.
  • Complete accurate documentation in database and all program paperwork in a timely, correct, and thorough manner.
  • Act as an advocate for clients/children, support with resources/referrals specific to their needs; including, supporting them with access to those resources/referrals.
  • Complete intake paperwork for children; including, psycho/social assessments and service plans on all children ages three (3) and over, or as appropriate to their development.
  • Assist in the completion of discharge summaries on all children upon their departure from the program.
  • Assist in training new staff as appropriate.
  • Provide crisis intervention for clients/children; provide parenting support as appropriate to the situation.

Compliance/Requirements:


  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance
  • 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
