The Senior Housing sector is booming. Census data reveal that the number of Americans aged 65 and older reached a staggering 55.8 million in 2024, accounting for 16.8% of the nation's population. As more individuals enter their golden years, the need for specialized housing and care services has never been greater.· This is a 100% commissioned, 1099 role with unlimited earning potential · As an independent contractor, this role is not eligible for company paid benefits Marcus & Millichap is the industry's largest firm specializing in real estate investment sales and financing, as well as a leading source of research and advisory services. We are currently seeking to add to our premier Senior Housing team in the Bay Area. This position is tailored for highly determined, energetic, and friendly candidates with a track record of achieving results that others cannot. The firm has developed a powerful property marketing system that integrates broker specialization by property type and market area, the industry's most comprehensive investment research, a long-standing culture of information sharing, relationships with the largest pool of qualified investors, and state-of-the-art technology that matches buyers and sellers.
A day in the life of one of our Senior Housing Agents often includes:
- Following the roadmap supplied by mentors and our training program in an entrepreneurial and at times - independent autonomous manner.
- Participating in best-in-class training and ongoing skills-development workshops
- Contacting and advising clients, companies, and institutions in the development and execution of their individualized real estate investment strategies
- Preparing thoughtful analyses of clients' properties, including opinions of value, market comparables, and research
- Researching the local market and staying up to date on industry trends
- Marketing investment real estate internally, externally, and to clients who are active investors.
- Collaborating with Senior Agents to achieve business and career goals with a clear "pathway to growth".
- Networking with other industry professionals
