Job DescriptionUnder the general direction of the Director, the caregiver processes a variety of patient records to support the department's mission to secure and maintain accurate patient health information. Tasks include: Customer service both face to face and telephone or correspondence, document capture processing, health information report routing, release information (ROI), data abstracting and reporting to external entities, maintaining logs, and functions related to billing and collections for ROI. The Health Information Technician will relocate and transmit PHI per policy and maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

About the Team
Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care. Collectively, our medical groups and affiliate practices are the third largest group in the country with over 11,000 providers, 900 clinics and 30,000 caregivers.
