Hillside House is a nonprofit residential facility located in Santa Barbara, California, that provides care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to support our residents' efforts to maximize their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional abilities, while treating them with dignity and respect. We offer a safe, home-like environment with around-the-clock nursing care, physical therapy, independent living skills, recreational and learning opportunities, and individualized treatment programs to help our residents reach their highest potential and lead fulfilling lives.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hillside House in Santa Barbara, CA. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to our residents with developmental disabilities. Your day-to-day tasks may include assisting with grooming, dressing, meals, bathing, assisting with physical therapy exercises, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Knowledge of basic medical procedures and protocols
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Compassionate and patient nature
Physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients
CPR and First Aid certification
