What you will do with us in Plattsburg

  • Advise users and support the team with your expertise and methodological competence in classical and agile projects as a subject matter expert in network and network security topics
  • Independently plan, configure and implement central network services and network security functions with a focus on firewall, IDS/IPS, proxy, remote access, load balancer and cloud integration
  • Independently evaluate, implement and further develop suitable and established security solutions to ensure high availability and meet current standards and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and resolve configuration and performance issues
  • Responsible for second-level support in the area of network services and coordination of involved external service providers and manufacturer support

What you bring to the table

  • A specialized degree from a university or college in computer science, communication or electrical engineering, or a completed specialized vocational training with relevant work experience and additional training in network security, IT forensics or similar
  • Extensive professional and project experience in the field of network security and cloud integration
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with next-generation firewall systems, application layer gateways, and planning and implementing network base services is desirable
  • Strong scripting skills and first experiences in automation are desirable
  • Knowledge or certifications in ITIL as
