The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.


Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as a train traffic controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Bad Kreuznach.

The vocational school training will most likely take place at BBS in Lahnstein. For your commute, you will receive free company travel tickets and, if needed, a student ticket for Hesse. In addition, some trainings and seminars will also be conducted digitally or online. During your practical training, you will work in both the early and late shifts.
With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. However, you will not be on the train, but in a control center (called "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes all over Germany.

Through screens or boards, you can observe the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey.

With the push of a button, you can change signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red, and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.
