GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Driver will be responsible for transporting clients to apartment viewings and appointments with various agencies
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport clients to permanent housing, apartment viewings, and other appointments
- Assists families with moving in and out of facilities
- Assist with loading and unloading the van with the Maintenance Department for each facility
- Operates facility vans on all type of road ways
- Must communicate with Program Director on whereabouts on a daily basis
- Must answer phone calls when called (unless driving)
- Visually inspect the interior and exterior of the vehicle on a daily basis
- Must make sure that it is clean at all times
- Must ensure van is in excellent working condition (i.e. making sure the vehicle has enough
- Must ensure that the vehicle is taken to proper inspections and that registration is up to
- Must ensure that the E-ZPass is adhered properly and is reading correctly when going through
- Will be held accountable for operator's Motor Vehicle Traffic Violations
- In the event of an emergency, essential employees are required to report to work as scheduled
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must have a valid Driver's License which passes a license record check
- One year of experience in Transportation Services preferred
- Must be able to interact effectively with facility staff, client population and
- Must be capable of heavy lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Bilingual
- English/Spanish a plus
Pay:
$38,000.00 per year
