We partner with several well-known and highly regarded government healthcare agencies, such as the Department on Behavioral Health, the Department on Disability Services, and the National Institutes of Health.


The Data & Revenue Cycle Specialist is a critical member of the PSHP team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of program data, as well as supporting the revenue cycle process for the program's financial sustainability.

This role collaborates closely with the billing team to optimize the revenue cycle, from client intake and eligibility verification to service delivery documentation and claims submission.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Management:
  • Accurately enter client demographic, clinical, and service utilization data into relevant databases (HTH, Credible, and any other electronic health records or client management systems used by the program).
  • Ensure data quality through realtime validation and regular audits.
  • Scan and index physical documents into electronic systems, maintaining organized records.
  • Generate reports for internal use and external stakeholders (e.g., funders, regulatory agencies).
  • Revenue Cycle Support:
  • Collaborate with the billing team to verify client eligibility for Medicaid, insurance, and other funding sources.
Monitor and track service authorizations, utilization, and claims submissions. Assist in resolving billing issues and denials.

  • Review acuity reports and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate service documentation
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze program data to identify trends, outcomes, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports that summarize key metrics and findings for leadership and team meetings.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open communication with the billing team, clinical staff, and other stakeholders. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Communicate with external partners, such as insurance companies and government agencies, as needed.
  • Compliance:
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client data in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Stay informed about relevant data reporting requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in data entry, records management, or a similar role.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or client management systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing or revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly (e.g., HTH, Credible).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of behavioral health or permanent supportive housing programs.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
