Description

Bay Farm Montessori Academy is seeking lead staff for its Summer Program.

Openings exist in our Toddler House (18mo - 2.5 years); Children's House (2.5yr - 5yr); and Elementary (6yrs - 10yrs).

Bay Farm's Summer Program will run from June 10 - August 9. Hours are 8:00 - 4:00PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee a group of 1020 children and serve as the EEClicensed lead teacher;
Oversee an assistant counselor to coordinate preparation of spaces, coordination of lunches/snacks, and general support;
Rotating coverage of pickup and dropoff;
Ensure a safe and healthy environment in which the students will thrive during their summer break;
Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with parents of students through ongoing responsible, timely, and respectful communication;
Participation in staff meetings and trainings;
Represent the school in a positive light, whether in or out of school.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience preferably in early childhood education
Toddler House Counselors MUST have EEC license
EEC License preferred, but not required for Children's House / Elementary programs
Interest in Montessori Philosophy
Calm and peaceful disposition
A strong desire for ongoing learning about teaching, children, education, and Montessori
