Summary


The main goal of this role is to assist and participate in the ALO's liaison activities, manage administrative support, and handle tasks related to Department funding and operation matters.


This opportunity is available for:


  • Recent graduates who have finished studies at an accredited educational institution or program within the last 2 years (or 6 years for Veterans).

The responsibilities of a Program Specialist typically include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Collaborate with the Director and Liaisons to ensure smooth Office operations.
  • Handle congressional inquiries effectively.
  • Offer analysis and recommendations for long-term program objectives planning.
  • Provide expert advice on complex program issues.
  • Create reports or written analysis on DOJ policies.
  • Review budgetary analysis, evaluations, and legislative proposals.

Requirements:


Conditions of Employment


  • Must be a United States Citizen or National.
  • Successful completion of security/background check and drug screening.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be necessary.
  • Selective Service registration is mandatory.

Under Pathways Recent Graduate policy, eligibility is granted to those who graduated within the last two years.


Qualifications:


This vacancy is open to recent graduates who completed a program of study within the last two years.


  • Completion of work and training hours is required for potential conversion to a permanent appointment.
