- Previous admissions experience in Long-Term Care required.
- Knowledge and experience with various insurances required.
- Medicare and Medicaid knowledge and experience required.
- Perform financial interview for Medicaid application process.
- File the Medicaid application/conversion through the MEDS system.
- Coordinate and facilitate appropriate admissions to our facility.
- Maintain contact with residents and families regarding potential admissions.
- Conduct interviews and tours of the facility.
- Verify resident insurance.
- Educate family members and prospective residents regarding Ozanam Hall services.
- Generate new referrals by establishing relationships with social workers, case managers and other professional contacts within hospital or other accounts.
- Maintain current understanding of client payment sources, i.e. HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

We are seeking to fill the position of Admissions/Medicaid Coordinator.
** $60,000 to $65,000 annually based on experience. **
Admissions/Medicaid Coordinator Introduction:
The Medicaid/Admissions Coordinator collaborate with both the Admissions Team to coordinate and facilitate appropriate admissions and with our Medicaid Coordinator to assist with NY Medicaid certification.
