We are looking for a Director (m/f/d) to lead the Academy of Cultural Education of the Federal Government and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Buena Park.

The Director is responsible for the overall management of the Academy of Cultural Education, including comprehensive professional and administrative supervision.

They are responsible for the development and testing of the training profile and also oversee research in the fields of cultural, youth, and educational theory, combined with their own pedagogical work.

The Director also plays a crucial role in transferring educational topics to the Academy's profile as well as to civil society and politics.

They advise decision-makers in committees and ministries and represent the Academy in contact with regional, national, and international cooperation partners.

The ideal candidate possesses the ability to design innovative and interdisciplinary training programs for different target groups and secure external funding.

They have proven experience in organizational and personnel management, as well as in research, teaching, conceptualization, and coordination of scientific events.

A keen sense of and knowledge about current socio-political discourses is required, as well as a willingness to participate in public discourse through publications.
