Position:
* **Social Media Manager and Content Specialist *(Full Time). Stran Promotional Solutions is looking to fill a Social Media Manager and Content Specialist role within our organization. The person in this role will develop a comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategy designed to elevate Stran across our industry while attracting interest from potential customers and/or future employees. The goal of this position is to portray Stran as the premier destination for anyone and everyone who wants to work with or for a marketing firm that is a true an industry leader. You will work both strategically to develop a comprehensive plan as well as tactically to execute against that plan. You will engage with the entire company to source and create content that achieves the goals and objectives of our social media channels, attend company and client events to capture content and our culture firsthand, work with the executive team to assist them in leveraging social media to be recognized as thought leaders, and drive a companywide approach to our social strategy and digital footprint.


You will work collaboratively with the creative and merchandising teams to design visual content to be used across the various channels, with 3rd party agencies, and support the VP of Marketing and Business Development on RFP and proposal responses and other marketing initiatives as needed.


Reporting:

  • The Social Media Manager and Content Specialist will report to the VP of Marketing and Business Development.

Team:

The Social Media Manager and Content Specialist will work with the Marketing Team, Client Services Team, Sales Team, and outside vendors to develop, produce, and support all Marketing efforts and initiatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Social Media Manager and Content Specialist:

  • Build a social media strategy in conjunction with other members of the marketing team, the sales organization, and with input from the executive management team.
  • Develop solid professional relationships across the company and communication strategies to internally market Stran's social channels and content throughout the organization and to encourage engagement and even participation in the creation and distribution of content.
  • Attend and participate in company and client events as needed (some travel required) to capture content that helps to drive our social strategy
  • Assist in maintaining the RFP Content Library
  • Support the VP of Marketing with specific initiatives including event marketing projects, PR campaigns, and other projects as they arise.
  • Support the Creative Director with creative merchandising ideation for both general marketing purposes as well as client specific requests.
  • Assist in product photography and collecting event images from clients for use across our digital and physical assets.
  • Partner with 3rd party agencies such as web development, SEO, and/or brand agencies to refine content and strategy.
  • Work with the VP of Sales to identify prospects that have high value to transition from Marketing and/or Inbound sales to outbound sales.

Desired Skill set:


  • Experience in building and nurturing online communities, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • In depth knowledge of major social media platforms including their algorithms, features, and best practices.
  • Ability to stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies and innovate our strategies accordingly.
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles to optimize social content for discoverability.
  • Creativity, the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas to engage the audience and differentiate the Stran brand.
  • Ability to analyze social media metrics and generate insightful reporting to track performance, measure ROI, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills, selfdirected, motivated, and disciplined.
  • A willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • A reliable team player.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with little supervision.

  • Bachelor's or associate degree required, in business or marketing preferred
  • Graphic design or product merchandising experience a plus

Compensation:
Depending on Experience
