About This Role:


The
Associate Product Manager assists the product management team in the planning, organization, and life cycle of the product portfolio, while also providing technical support for product exhibition at tradeshows.

Assists in developing product marketing business plans and financial reporting in support of the company's strategic plan.

Demonstrates behavior consistent with the company's values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Supports the team to ensure that all existing products in the portfolio are up to corporate quality standards. Works with engineering team to define final product functional and appearance specifications. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that all product and packaging changes are thoroughly reviewed before implementation and distribution.
  • Assists the Category Manager with all marketing and development needs of the product line. Seeks guidance and advice from the Category Manager and/or Senior Product Managers when making business decisions.
  • Analyzes and understands the customer's needs and expectations. Assists in the research necessary to obtain the specific market facts and helps make the final determination on which ideas to pursue.
  • Creates realistic Return on Investment analysis to financially justify proposed development programs.
  • Serves on new product development and sustainability teams.
  • Assists in developing a detailed and timeintegrated plan for introducing and marketing the products. Works with Senior Product Manager to develop inseason product promotions for new and existing products. Reports the success or failure of development programs that are brought to market.
  • Calls on customers to obtain market data, to solve technical issues, and to support the overall knowledge and ability of the sales team as it pertains to the product line. Prepares longterm sales forecasts for the product line.
  • Collaborates with Tradeshow Manager on installation of products for tradeshows. Conducts proper installation of components and understands how they need to work to positively impact our customer's impressions.
  • Assists in the development of standard and published pricing structure for the product line.
  • Provides source data for all communications pieces pertaining to the product line and assists in the review of communication pieces for technical accuracy.
  • Makes recommendations on the nature and scope of the present and future product line while continually seeking out new uses for existing products.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required and Preferred:


  • Minimum two years of experience in Brand Management, Product Management, Marketing Management.

  • Computer literacy including PC proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel 2030% of the time.
  • Industryspecific experience and certifications preferred.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $75,805 to $98,350
