You should also be willing to take care of the children as the parents do and act as an extension of the parents when they are away from the home.
Please be willing to be firm, but loving, and consistent as a good role model while providing guidance for proper behavior and manners while assisting.
Duties will vary but typically include:
- Willing to only use your personal cell phone or device during rest periods.
- Provide loving and consistent care and interaction.
- Tend to child/children's basic needs.
- Engage child/children in educational and creative play.
- Feedings and meal prep.
- Manage naps/bedtime routines.
- Enforce family rules as instructed
- Assist with light housekeeping
- Get children ready for bedtime.
- Bathe children as needed.
- Make healthy snacks and meals for children.
- Wash bottles as needed.
- Be attentive and patient with children; understand the importance of socialization skills; have previous experience working with children; make sure children's needs are met; supervise, play with, and take care of multiple children at once.
Qualifications:
- Have at least 3 years of babysitting experience
- Have a college degree or equivalent experience
- Have a professional resume
- Pass a prescreening interview
- Pass a local, state and national background check
- Have a valid drivers license
- Have safe and reliable transportation
- Have a minimum of three professional references
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages, especially Spanish would be a plus, but not required.
- Should be up to date on vaccinations prior to starting the position.
