POSITION DETAILS


The Brooklyn College Cancer Center (CommUnity Outreach, Research and Education) BCCC-CURE seeks an Administrative Manager who will serve as the Operations and Community Outreach Manager.

Reporting to the BCCC-CURE Director, the Administrative Manager will manage and develop community partnerships, manage office communication, budget management and event organizing.

In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Administrative Manager's duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Updating the BCCC-CURE web site (blog) with relevant announcements for events and seminars and new people profiles when needed. Managing BCCC-CURE social media accounts (FB, twitter & Instagram).
  • Supporting information for BCCC-CURE bi
  • yearly newsletter and the Center yearly report.
  • Supporting organization of seminars and events (either in person or virtual) and recruitment events at Brooklyn College
Placing order/payments for stipends/fellowships/consultants/parttime personnel through the Brooklyn College Foundation (BCF) Foundation and CUNY Research Foundation (RF) Accounts. Maintaining detailed activity and tracking of all orders placed and invoices paid with regards to the center expenses (seminars, fliers, social & community events, etc) through the Brooklyn College Foundation (BCF) Foundation and CUNY Research Foundation (RF) Accounts. Developing new partnerships with relevant community organizations and maintain collaborative partnerships with medical and community organizations. Developing and managing various health prevention events for Brooklyn College and Brooklyn communities. Monitoring BCCC-CURE community programs and evaluate impact. Representing BCCC-CURE at health fairs and other relevant events. Gather data relevant to the cancer center with regards to community outreach/education components (Brooklyn Borough statistics, medical centers, potential community partners, community outreach and education local, state and national grant opportunities). Monitoring BCCC-CURE community programs and evaluate impact. Managing the work output and onboarding process of interns and parttime personnel


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.


Preferred Experience in Higher Education Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented with the ability to multitask with multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access), Outlook and CUNYBuy

Manages administrative and program activities of an academic or administrative unit. Manages administrative aspects of department operations such as admissions, recruitment, scheduling, facilities management, and events. Serves as Office Manager, supervising and training staff, managing financial operations and budgets, and coordinating technology, equipment, security, and building maintenance requirements. Represents management in meetings and activities related to department administration. Maintains archives, inventories, or collections of materials or records needed by the department. Works with fundraising, marketing, technology, and other personnel to provide information and participate in Campus or Universitywide initiatives. Collect information for, produce, and distribute department reports covering program, fiscal, and human resources issues Independently carries out unit activities such as approvals, student interactions, and participation in campus
or universitywide committees and projects.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$67,784 $79,188; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
