JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a 1st shift (6a - 2pm) Envelope Machine Operator responsible for overseeing all aspects of envelope manufacturing and printing processes. The role involves operating envelope machinery and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production targets while ensuring the quality of each box and carton. Candidates should possess the necessary skills to operate various types of machinery and demonstrate a willingness to learn how to operate and maintain all bindery machinery effectively.

The hourly wage for this position is $17.00.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pulls sheets according to guidelines to assess quality and accuracy of work
  • Completes all necessary paperwork for the job
  • Aids in maintaining records and job ticket information
  • Ensures cleanliness in line with company standards, organizes parts, tools, and materials, and keeps work areas and machines clean
  • Loads envelope blanks and maintains ink and gum flow
  • Inspects envelope quality for various issues
  • Packs envelopes and assembles shipping cartons
  • Addresses basic machine jams and notifies supervisors of any problems
  • Meets production standards for quality and quantity
  • Minimizes waste through proper segregation
  • Helps train other team members on machine operations
  • Performs other assigned duties
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors, operators, and adjusters
  • Adheres to safety regulations and rules

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of some high school coursework; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of experience in bindery machine operation

  • Versatility in handling different tasks efficiently
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
