- Offer engineering and technical support to the WWRP Project Team for Electrical Engineering Systems on the Wellhead Platform.
- Monitor progress by the main contractor and act as the main contact for the owner's team in the assigned area.
- Assist the Topsides Execution Manager / Electrical Lead during construction, Mechanical Completion, and commissioning of the electrical systems on the platform.
- Observe construction/fabrication, contractor project/modifications activity, and track performance against expectations.
- Review and provide feedback on contractor documentation to ensure the suitability of the electrical system and equipment design.
- Ensure the use of appropriate electrical specifications for the project.
- Support the Operational Readiness Assurance team in preparing for the transition from the project phase to the operational phase.
- Review the Construction schedule, engage with the topsides fabrication contractor, and offer technical guidance as needed to resolve site queries.
- Assist with the change management process during the execution stage of the project from engineering to final handover to operations.
- Review and approve "A" mechanical completions check sheets.
- Review MC Dossiers and assist in Handover from the contractor to the commissioning team.
- Diploma or Certificate in the Electrical/instrumentation field
- Legal authorization to work in the USA
- Minimum 20 years' experience in Electrical Construction with significant exposure to the construction of large projects in the offshore oil and gas industry, particularly production and drilling facilities.
- Technical knowledge of process topsides equipment, utilities equipment, and drilling facility requirements in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with offshore health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with overall electrical system design
- Knowledge of various electrical standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline project environment.
- Experience providing technical guidance to construction contractors.
- Experience with electrical equipment installation and commissioning requirements.
- Experience working with construction contractors during the building and commissioning of facilities.
- Knowledge of project design and execution stages.
- Experience in reviewing MC Dossiers, construction check sheets, Walkdown Packages, and participating in system turnover priorities.
- Experience in verification and closeout of punch list items and site queries to facilitate system MCs.
- Strong communication skills to convey detailed information effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and provide solutions.
- Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with diverse individuals and disciplines.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills to exceed established goals and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project.
