    Arcadis is looking for a

    Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager


    with 10 years of experience to join our Resilience Water Team in Florida This role can be based out of Boca Raton or Plantation, Florida We offer a flexible hybrid work culture with a balance between remote and in-office work.

    The candidate in this role will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge to successfully manage and execute projects.

    It also provides an exciting opportunity for an ideal candidate to leverage their experience to help build and grow our water practice in the Florida region.


    This role involves leading teams and executing project management and construction management (PM/CM) for water, wastewater, stormwater, water management, and resilience projects.

    You will be part of a dynamic team of engineers helping our clients develop sustainable and equitable solutions to the challenges faced by the water industry.

    This role sits within our Resilience Global Business Area (GBA). We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.     Role accountabilities:


    Our team helps clients achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions using state-of-the-art practices and technologies.

    This position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual with the initiative and ability to develop business, lead pursuits, and tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts, to join our local team and lead water/wastewater/stormwater projects with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country.


    Initially in this role you will manage and lead projects/tasks for the planning, design and construction of water, wastewater, stormwater and other water management facilities including but not limited to treatment facilities, distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater systems, pump/lift stations, earth structures, etc.

    You will also manage the development of construction documents and specifications, and the construction oversight/administration for both new construction and for rehabilitation work.

    You will lead resource management for our growing Construction Management team in Florida.

    You will be mentored by experienced Account Leaders and seller/doers in the region to grow your client management and business development capabilities in the Florida market.


    Other responsibilities include:
    Manage a range of projects for various clients in the region.

    This includes managing project resources, budgets, and delivery schedules to meet business and project financial metrics, delivering on contractual commitments.

    Lead resource management of construction management personnel in South East Florida and across the state.

    Lead/Support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.

    As part of account teams, support the management and growth of client relationships.

    Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for water, wastewater, and storm system assets including treatment facilities, pipelines and pump/lift stations using a variety of approaches and technologies.

    Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineer.
    Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.
    Review contracts and support teams in adhering to contractual requirements and commitments.

    Travel (up to 25%) may be required to conduct project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee project field activities, depending on project staffing needs.


    Qualifications & Experience:
    Required Qualifications

    10 years of Water / Wastewater experience.
    Project Management experience.
    People / Resource Management experience.
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.
    PE License in Florida or ability to obtain within 12 months.
    Key Skills/Attributes

    Excellent technical writing skills.
    Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
    Experience management people and teams.

    Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Design and permitting experience with water/wastewater treatment systems, distribution/conveyance, and pumping & storage facilities.
    Excellent technical engineering and Project/Task Management skills in the W/WW practice area.
    Project experience including design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, storm water systems, and pump/lift stations.
    Project experience with pipeline and pump station design projects.
    Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA.
    Active participation in regional or national professional associations.
