    Position Summary:

    Must live in the Jacksonville, FL area

    We are looking for a hard-working, customer-focused individual comfortable visiting multiple fiber construction sites daily, conducting inspections, working directly with our contractors, and resolving all resident concerns related to the fiber construction. Each Coordinator owns their assigned construction projects from start to finish, interacting daily with the construction team and residents in the community, while problem-solving and providing issue resolution throughout the day.

    In this role you will survey locations, identify permitting requirements, put together Bill of Materials (BOM's and Notice-To-Proceed (NTP) packages for contractors, troubleshoot on-site as necessary, perform safety and quality control checks, verify as-builts, provide outstanding customer service to residents, and ensure quality of work performed meets established technical standards and company policies.

    In addition, our Construction Coordinators ensure all as-built data and bore logs are provided to our documentation team to be inputted into the Vetro system. The coordinator provides weekly reporting to internal and external departments, requests purchase orders, and defines architecture, equipment needs, costs and variables. Our Coordinators play a large part in ensuring our construction projects are completed on time and on budget, and, just as importantly, they ensure all resident questions and concerns are resolved satisfactorily.

    Our ideal candidate has experience with utility markouts and/or installing underground and/or aerial telephone, cable tv, or fiber optic drops to homes and businesses. However, we are willing to train the right individual.

    Job Description:

    • Take ownership of projects from start to finish while actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and provide the best customer experience with every interaction.
    • Monitor and be accountable for subcontractor quality, workmanship, productivity, customer service, and safety performance.
    • Field verification of all construction activities meeting design specifications and ensure the produced work meets or exceeds quality standards
    • Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly, and monthly as required.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.
    • Project coordination between customers/residents and all internal and external departments.
    • Interact with Field Supervisors to verify field work status and correct discrepancies.
    • Order, manage and deliver materials to contract construction company.
    • Verify work-in-progress report.
    • Design route path and building entry for service delivery.
    • Assign work to subcontractor leadership team and review final billing.
    • Modify design schematics to "as built" documentation.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years telecommunications construction experience highly preferred
    • High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred
    • Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting and creating BOM's to include GPON
    • Experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
    • Proven success collaborating and providing the highest level of customer service with demonstrated ability to manage customer escalations and drive to desired outcome is required.
    • Ability to professionally work with all levels of management, employees, customers, and the public.
    • Ability to work in all kinds of outdoor environments.
    • Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and make sound decisions using information at hand.
    • Ability to remain highly adaptive, flexible, and shift strategies on short notice as environment dictates.
    • Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail with little direction.
    • Ability to travel for business requirements including during nighttime and in adverse weather conditions; must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
    • Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages, working mandatory overtime after hours and weekends, and remaining in service until outage is resolved.
    • Proficient in Excel and Word and computer skills sufficient to learn new applications and systems.
    • Use excellent hearing and listening skills to receive detailed information along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E) preferred
    • Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with good hand-eye coordination.
    • Must be able to pass standard background check and drug screening.
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds repeatedly.
    • Must be able and willing to climb ladders up to 28ft.
    • Flexibility to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs.
    • Must maintain company vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
    • Must be available and willing to respond to the needs of a 24/7 operation during emergencies.
    • Dress in approved IQ Fiber clothing, be professional, and promote a positive brand image.
    • Must have a clear driving record, with no more than one minor infraction over the past two years.
