    Job Description1ST SHIFT MIG WELDER/PIPE FITTEROur Company is looking to add a new member to the team We have been a B2Bpartner in the Custom Finishing industry for over 60 years. Our current openings are for anentry-level and experienced MIG Welder/Fitter in our plant. The individual will support variousdepartments by interpreting mechanical blueprints, determining appropriate tools and metals,using cutting tools, and assembling metal pieces.

    Co-workers' average tenure is 16 yearsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for:

    • Join appropriate metals to specifications.
    • Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly.
    • Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately.
    • Ability to read a tape measure.
    • Regular cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
    • Operate cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites.
    • Work with various power tools.
    • Determining machine settings.
    • Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
    • Communicate with the plant manager or supervisor, report any issues, and makesuggestions for improvement.
    Experience with black iron and stainless steel welding techniquesRequired Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma
    • 2 to 5 years of welding experience preferred. Must have experience with stainless steal and black iron (A.K.A-carbon steel)
    • Must be able to pass a Fillet Welds- (1F) test (entry-level)
    • Must be able to pass an all-position test ( experienced level)
    • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Will train.
    • Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
    • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
    • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
    • **The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience

    Hours:
    Tues-Fri 10 hr. days 4 days a week with opportunities for OT#Shannon
