    Job Overview
    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various financial aspects of our organization, including credit cards, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and providing assistance with company travel. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, contributing to the overall success of our business.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Credit Card Management:
      • Maintain and reconcile company credit card accounts.
      • Review and verify credit card expenses, ensuring they are properly documented and coded.
      • Coordinate with team members to collect supporting documents and resolve any discrepancies.
      • Provide accounting review and process all expense reports in a reporting tool.
      Accounts Receivable:
      • Monitor and process customer payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
      • Process mail daily and input any bank deposits.
      • Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with clients to resolve payment issues.
      • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
      Accounts Payable:
      • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment.
      • Verify and reconcile vendor statements.
      • Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
      • Assist in monitoring and managing cash flow.
      Travel Assistance:
      • Coordinate and assist in booking company travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
      • Ensure compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
      • Maintain accurate records of travel expenses and reconcile them upon completion.
      Financial Record-Keeping:
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records following accounting principles and company policies.
      • Prepare and maintain financial reports, summaries, and reconciliations as necessary.
      • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
      General Financial Support:
      • Collaborate with the accounting team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
      • Assist with financial audits and provide required documentation and support.
      • Contribute to enhancing financial processes and systems.
      • Stay informed about accounting regulations and best practices.

      Competencies
      • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

      Key Qualifications & Experience
      • A college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
      • Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
      • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Staff Accountant) is a plus.
      • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
      • Proficiency in accounting software and Google Sheets.
      Salary
      $21.50 - $26 per hour starting wage
