Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable GIA Gemologist to join our team.

As a GIA Gemologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and grading gemstones and jewelry using industry-standard techniques and equipment.

Your expertise will contribute to the accurate identification and assessment of gemstone and jewelry quality.


Duties:


  • Examine gemstones using various gemological instruments, including microscopes,
  • Assess gemstone quality based on the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight) and other relevant factors.
  • Identify natural gemstones, synthetic gemstones, and treatments applied to gemstones.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting the characteristics of each evaluated gemstone.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding gemstone selection, value, and care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate inventory management and tracking of gemstones.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, advancements in gemological techniques, and market values.

Qualifications:

  • GIA Graduate Gemologist certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of gemstone identification techniques and grading standards.
  • Proficient in using gemological instruments and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to discern subtle differences in gemstone characteristics.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Pay:
$50,000.00 per year
