We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Senior Solution Architect with a strong background in Azure cloud architecture.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the design, customization, and implementation of AVD solutions standard and tailored to meet our clients' specific needs.

Additionally, the candidate will provide pre-sales support, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and demonstrate expertise in both AVD and Azure cloud services.

Working knowledge of migrating from Citrix and other Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions to AVD is must.

Responsibilities:

Design and build a standard Azure Virtual Desktop solution for commercial enterprises and public sector customers with required security, data privacy and export compliances.

In collaboration with Solution Management and Go-To-Market team, create solution portfolio which includes all required sales and go-to-market artifacts. Similarly, design and build Azure based solutions with value added features and services.

Provide pre-sales support by collaborating with sales teams to understand client needs and develop tailored AVD and Azure solutions including solution cost estimation and pricing.

Respond to RFIs and RFPs by preparing comprehensive proposals that showcase our capabilities and value proposition. Conduct customer presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of AVD solutions and Azure solutions. Lead the design and customization of Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure solutions to meet clients' requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, developers, and project managers to ensure successful implementation of AVD and Azure solutions.

Work closely with clients to understand their existing VDI infrastructure and develop migration strategies to transition to Azure Virtual Desktop.

Provide consulting, project, and delivery support to our clients.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in AVD and Azure cloud services and provide guidance on best practices to clients.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and client delivery teams. Conduct knowledge sharing workshops with internal and external stakeholders. Author technical whitepapers on AVD and Azure based solutions.

You will be successful in this role if you have: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; master's degree preferred.

10+ years working in VDI based solutions which includes 5+ years of experience in architecting and implementing Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.

10+ years of experience working in Azure using various cloud services. Strong background in Azure cloud architecture and services. 1+ Experience in providing pre-sales support and responding to RFIs and RFPs. Proficiency in customizing AVD solutions to meet client needs. Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop management tools like Nerdio and PowerShell/Python scripting for automation. Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols related to virtual desktop environments.

Hands on experience to implement and configure Azure Virtual Desktop components, such as host pools, app groups, workspaces, images, profiles, policies, and scaling.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure Virtual Desktop performance, availability, security, and connectivity. Demonstrated expertise in migrating from Citrix and other VDI solutions to Azure Virtual Desktop. Experience to monitor, analyze, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop cost with automation and AI. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Azure Architecture and Azure Virtual Desktop certifications preferred.
