Alumni Outreach Coordinator

About the Position:
Work closely with the Alumni Department Manager & Alumni Department to assist with building and strengthening connections with Alumni, promoting the alumni program to current clients.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Weekend and evening events required with travel in the Northeast.
Your Role:
- Assist in building and strengthening connections with alumni who attend events and workshops by working with Alumni Relations Manager at networking opportunities.
- Assists with all special event planning and coordination in conjunction with the Alumni department.
- Coordination of reoccurring events and gatherings: determining the location and logístical details in consult with the Manager and alumni department.
- Responsible for promoting the alumni program to clients currently in treatment; running groups as needed.
- Spearhead virtual support meetings, metrics, and staffing coordination when relates to the Alumni Department
- Promoting alumni services and planning events in coordination with Mountainside's outpatient locations; Building connections with current clients and collaborating staff.
- Responsible for tracking any alumni changes in appropriate database.
- Gather information surrounding the recovery process of each alumni.
- Ensure all aspects of contact with alumni are documented through the appropriate software.
- Keep the Alumni department fully apprised of alumni progress and report any concerns.
- Help recruit speakers for Alumni Share Night and content for the newsletter
- Responsible for aiding in the growth of the Alumni Ambassador Program by recruiting new Ambassadors.
- Keeps all Ambassador Information up to date and accurate to ensure that Ambassadors meet the required criteria.
- Work in concert with Admissions, Recovery Support, and Continuing Care to provide support to all alumni.
- Embrace and grow the Alumni Ambassador program keeping engagement through Mountainside influencers.
- Maximize local digital presence through reviews and resources during and post events.
- Ensure department files, folders and processes including Standard Operating Procedure remain updated during the everchanging landscape of Alumni Relations
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, including special projects.
- Comply with all federal, state, and accreditation regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Or associate degree in human services or similar field
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as necessary.
- Awareness and sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomics, and strong cultural competency.
- Strong oral and written communication, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging personalities and sensitive situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Strong phone presence, with the ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and confidently in difficult situations.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings, as well as flexible of a varying schedule.
- Physically able to participate in workshops that require physical stamina and lifting
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience working as an assistant or personally assisting in event planning and coordination.
- Working understanding of ethical boundaries, HIPPA, and client confidentiality rights.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize problemsolving skills to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience with Twelve-Step, and/or Refuge Recovery programs, whether personal and professional preferred.
Compensation_:
_**The base rate of pay for this position is $23.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
