Overview:
G.E Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator with commercial construction experience to join our team.

As an In-House Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by accurately estimating costs and providing valuable insights for project planning and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate accurate cost estimates
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals
• Participate in prebid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions
• Ensure compliance with project timelines and budgetary constraints
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Provide support during contract negotiations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry (5 Years Minimum)
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
