    Chief Engineer

    to join our dynamic team.

    The Poste Montane is a 24-suite luxury hotel locatedjust steps from the ice rink, lifts, shopping, and the Vilar Performing Arts Center.

    The Chief Engineer is responsible for directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment and in the maintenance of the building, grounds, irrigation and utility systems of the properties.

    This role works closely with the General & Assistant Managers and the Front Desk staff to ensure coordination of all necessary engineering tasks.

    Duties Include :


    Ensure safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities and equipment by overseeing maintenance and operation of physical structures, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

    Develop and manage emergency programs for compliance and safety, including conducting inspections, drills, and ensuring adherence to codes and regulations.

    Oversee budgeting and expenses for the engineering division, recommending department budgets, capital expenditures, and managing expenses within approved constraints.

    Inform the General Manager on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems.

    Implement maintenance programs and negotiate contracts for hotel equipment in compliance with standards and regulations, ensuring guest, manager, and employee safety and satisfaction.

    Manage energy efficiency programs and maintain certifications, minimizing expenses and upholding the property's gold level certification with the state's Environmental Leadership Program.

    Full Time, Year Round.

    Compensation :
    $$72,000-$76,000 annually, depending on experience; $1,000 sign on bonus (1/2 paid after 60 successful days of work; 1/2 paid after 90 successful days of work)
    Schedule : 9am-5pm; days off are flexible, but must be able to work on Saturdays
    Minimum Requirements

    At least 3years experience in facilities management and/or engineering required.
    High-school diploma or equivalent.
    College degree desired.
    Valid Drivers License required.
    Current licensure as a certified pool operator or can obtain certification within 6 months.
