Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President (VP) of Media Strategy to join our team.

The VP, Media Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth through pitch development, leading media strategy for select accounts, and co-assisting in the leadership of our media department.

This role requires a forward-thinking, results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of media planning and a track record of successful new business pitches.

Light to moderate travel will be required for key accounts and in-person new business pitches.


_ Key Responsibilities:

New Business Pitching:


  • Lead the development and execution of media strategy for new business pitches.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop holistic and effective media solutions for prospective clients.
  • Work closely with the business development team to identify opportunities and create compelling media content and proposals.
  • Utilize market research, industry trends, and consumer insights to develop innovative media strategies that differentiate us from competitors. Present media strategy and proposals to potential clients with confidence and expertise.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our media offerings and client portfolio.

Account Management:


  • Oversee media planning and strategy for a select portfolio of client accounts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their media needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Continuously assess campaign performance, optimize strategies, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Nurture client relationships and identify opportunities for organic growth.

Media Department Leadership:


  • Collaborate with the President and other senior leadership in setting the strategic direction for the media department.
  • Colead the media department with a focus on driving team performance, fostering innovation, and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Mentor and lead a team of media strategists, fostering their professional growth and ensuring highquality work.
  • Champion the integration of new media platforms and tech into BVK's service offerings.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the media department.

Budget Management:


  • Manage media budgets for new business pitches and client accounts effectively.
  • Monitor and control expenditures, ensuring campaigns are delivered within budget constraints.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to track and report on media spending.

Stay Informed and Innovate:


  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in the media landscape.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the media department, identifying opportunities for new media channels and tactics.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in media planning and strategy, with a proven track record in new business pitches.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Indepth knowledge of media planning tools, research methodologies, and industrystandard software.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.
