Job Description:
SUMMARY
Supports the development, and delivery of Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI) and Computer Based Training (CBT). Products include training media in multi-media, virtual, game-based, and distributive training environments. Establishes various media to ensure interactive, efficient, and cost-effective learning content.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Computer Based Training Specialist (CBTS)/Subject Matter Experts (SME), Instructional Systems Designers (ISD), and other MMPSs in the collection and cataloging of photos and graphics associated with training task activities for IMI and CBT.
- Reengineering of classroom style training content to modern delivery methods. Performance Learning Objectives (LO) and job sheets of selected courses must be captured through existing schoolhouse content. Gaps must then be identified and filled through interviewing/observing instructor provided Subject Matter Expertise (SMEs).
- Establishes various media to ensure interactive, efficient, and costeffective learning content.
- Must have a critical eye and be able to create and adapt to the visual intent of a larger project.
- Must work well in a collaborative environment, regularly recommending and communicating solutions to nonmultimedia trained personnel.
- Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a deadline and budgetoriented environment.
- Detailoriented, organized, flexible.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance and Common Assess Card
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in multimedia, graphic design, instructional design or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (potentially up to a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance) (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in creating and modifying graphics and animations.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products—specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Animate.
- Capable of rendering cuttingedge 2D and 3Dbased graphics and animations.
- Knowledge of 3DStudio Max or Maya.
- Applicable knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and PHP scripting.
- Ability to operate within the parameters of a Learning Management System (LMS) and understand web based SCORM parameters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Knowledge of military training or defense industry standards is preferred.
- Knowledge of the following webbased programming languages is preferred: HTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and ActionScript.
- Experience working with Navy/DoD preferred.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and presentation skills.
Job Requirements:
WORK SCHEDULE**40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office setting, may operate in military training areas. May be exposed to sharp objects, some heat, loud noise, chemicals, and vibration. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
