Summary

Maintains the ware washing and sanitation needs of kitchen work areas, food service equipment, utensils, cook-ware, and service-ware. Transports meal trays to patient care units, retrieves dirty meal trays from the units' dirty utility storage areas. Assists in the assembly of meal trays as needed.

Education

Some high school education.

Certification, Registration & Licensure

None required.

Responsibilities:


  • Washes, sanitizes, and puts away dishes and utensils.
  • Cleans work stations.
  • Does special cleaning.
  • Transports, assembles and prepares meal trays for patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Actively attends department meetings.
